AMBASSADOR – PETER
I’m heavily involved with all the running communities in the bay area. I started my running in Nov 2011 for a fundraising 5k event in Lake Elizabeth, Fremont, CA. Since then I have completed 80+ half marathons, 20+ full marathons included Chicago marathon, San Francisco marathon, Santa Rosa marathon, Mountain to the Beach marathon, Utah Marathon, Canyon City marathon, and many others. I also enjoyed trail running and I love to share my ultra running experiences to motivate runners for a healthy fitness. I finished Tahoe 200 endurance run in 2016, (5) 100 milers in 2015, (3) 100k, (3) 50 miles, and (60+) trail half marathons.
AMBASSADOR – TODD
My love for running is because of the communities that we build. The support for each other and others in our sport. While the trails and hills are my favorite my base started on the roads and paths and around Lake Merritt. Always Encourage others find a way to be positive and push your goals step out of your comfort zone. I am happy to be back for my 3rd year as an Ambassador for Oakland Marathon.

AMBASSADOR – PATTI
I’m a pension plan administrator who runs as much as I can. Running helps me de-stress from all the demands of my job. Running has brought so many awesome people into my life that makes me love life large! Because I have received so much joy from it, I would like to help others achieve the high that comes with running. I want to promote the Oakland Marathon and encourage others achieve their goals.
AMBASSADOR – MORGAN
I am a bay area native, born in San Francisco, raised in Vallejo and now residing in Seattle, Wa. I’ve been a runner for five years now and it has changed my life in a great way.
I’m also an indoor cycling instructor for Flywheel Sports and currently training for my first Ironman. When I’m not running, I enjoy hanging out with my very playful englsih bulldog.
The Oakland Running Festival Marathon will be my 22nd marathon, and I always run this race with my dad!
“I started running in 2012. Almost a year after I started running I ran my first marathon. I couldn’t imagine my first marathon not being in Oakland.
Hi! I’m a mama runner! I run long races with 3 kids in tow (and I drink beers after!) It wasn’t always that way, though. Back in 2012, I felt triumph when I conquered 1/2 mile. Each time I went out, I went only one block further (no joke) and when I came home I celebrated that with my husband. Nearly seven years later, I’ve run over 20 half marathons, but it’s ALWAYS come down to that first step; that first 1/2 mile. 20 years or a single day: if you run, you’re a runner. I’ve had good days and bad days, but it has always come down to that first step. If I can inspire that first step for others, then it’s been worth it. Come out and join us – you are strong and you CAN do it!
