February 5, 2015 (Oakland, CA) — Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today ERDINGER non-alcoholic will serve as the official beer of the Oakland Running Festival (ORF) and title sponsor for the event’s Celebration Village. The sixth annual Oakland Running Festival takes place on March 22nd and includes marathon, half marathon, four-person team relay, and 5K distances.

ERDINGER non-alcoholic is a refreshing isotonic drink. It provides the body with essential vitamins such as folic acid and vitamin B12 which help reduce fatigue, promote energy-yielding metabolism and support the immune system. Just one bottle (0.5l) of ERDINGER non-alcoholic is a daily contribution to a healthy nutrition.

“The private brewery ERDINGER Weissbrau is proud to expand its involvement in endurance sports to the U.S. market,” said Waltraud Kaiser, Export Director for ERDINGER Weissbrau. “For years now athletes in Germany and many parts of Europe have been enjoying a cold ERDINGER non-alcoholic beer as a full-bodied refreshment after training and competitions. The beer’s isotonic properties replenish the body immediately with valuable nutrients, quenching thirst even faster.

“As a new partner of the Oakland Running Festival, we are looking forward to offering our ERDINGER non-alcoholic to all participants after they cross the finish line. We will also be at the ORF Health and Fitness Expo where we are handing out samples of our refreshing isotonic drink.”

Lee Corrigan, CSE President and ORF Executive Director, said, “ERDINGER non-alcoholic enables our runners to celebrate their accomplishments on race day with the great taste of non-alcoholic beer and replenish essential nutrients simultaneously. Celebration Village is the place to be on race day for both runners and fans.

In its first five years, the Oakland Running Festival has generated an estimated $16 million in economic impact for the city of Oakland and more than $1 million for local charities.

Registration for this year’s Oakland Running Festival is pacing ahead of last year and CSE anticipates an estimated field size of 10,000 runners. Competitor magazine’s readers voted the 2013 Oakland marathon as the best marathon in the Pacific West region.

Corporate sponsor and expo vendor opportunities are still available for ORF, including the event’s title sponsor.
