The Oakland Running Festival is proud to announce two local running groups as the Official Training Groups for March’s event.
Lake Merritt Joggers and Striders will help you go the distance and have fun, whether you’re signing up for your first half marathon or your 15th marathon. You’ll discover new places to run long and enjoy the camaraderie of new running buddies who run at your pace. LMJS offers pace groups for most levels, RRCA-certified running coaches, experienced pace group leaders, training schedules, group speed workouts, training advice, course previews, and much more, for just $80 for LMJS members! (LMJS membership is $20) Marathon Training starts Nov. 20, with the first group run on Saturday, Nov. 25. Half Marathon Training starts on January 1, 2018 half, but marathoners are encouraged to join earlier for more fun and fitness. Stay motivated through the fall and winter – join now!

USA Fit East Bay
Even if you’ve never run a step before, training with USA Fit East Bay will help you conquer mental and physical barriers you never thought possible. It happens all the time. We start wherever you are. Couch potato? Seasoned marathoner? Great. No matter what your conditioning or pace, there will be others to train with. Over the course of 20 weeks, our coaches will help you achieve your personal best in a non-intimidating, fun, and safe environment. We meet Saturday mornings in a variety of East Bay locations from Lafayette to Livermore along the 24/680 corridor. Oakland Track Club is a competitive running club based in the heart of the East Bay, established in 2016 with the purpose of providing runners of all levels the opportunity to train hard and race for a team. Our athletes compete in variety of events and distances, ranging from road racing and track, to cross country and trail ultras.
