Along with our reimagined race day courses, the Oakland Marathon is welcoming all participants and the greater Bay Area community to the FREE Kaiser Permanente Thrive Expo.Â
For Participants
You’ll pick up your race day packet and enjoy the opportunity to prepare for race day with run-centric vendors – footwear, apparel, nutrition and more.
Sustainability – Please bring your reusable bags to the Expo in our efforts to reduce waste at the Oakland Marathon. Thanks to our partners we will also have reusable BPA-Free Open Water aluminum water bottles at the finish and organizations supporting us in redirecting waste & recycling efforts. In 2023 the event diverted 2,400lbs of CO‚ÇÇ, saved 328,548 gallons of water and created 1,000 meals.

Before it closed in 2005, the Henry J. Kaiser Center played host to speeches by figures like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and an impressive array of legendary bands and artists, leaving an indelible mark on the world of music. Its stage witnessed electrifying performances from a slew of artists, including Bob Marley, Jefferson Airplane, Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Green Day, Santana, Elvis Presley, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, and Queen to name a few.
